Acupuncture has a long history, but the ways we share knowledge, learn from one another and connect with the wider world continue to evolve.
At the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians (AAC), we’re embracing modern technology to help share our passion for acupuncture, bring people together and make it easier to keep up with the work we do to support the profession.
That’s why we’ve launched our official WhatsApp Channel.
Open to everyone, the channel is a new way to share news, knowledge and opportunities with acupuncturists, our members and anyone interested in acupuncture, wherever they are in the world.
Sharing our passion for acupuncture
We believe acupuncture has an important place in today’s world, and we want to help share its knowledge, value and continued development with a wider audience.
Through our WhatsApp Channel, we’ll share updates from the AAC, news affecting acupuncturists, learning opportunities and insights from across the acupuncture community.
You can expect to find:
- AAC news and campaigns – updates on our work supporting acupuncturists and the wider profession.
- Courses and professional development – opportunities to learn, develop your skills and explore different approaches to practice.
- The Clinician – highlights from our journal, featuring articles, guidance and insights for practitioners.
- News and developments – information about issues affecting acupuncture and the people who practise it.
- Community news and opportunities – events, initiatives and useful resources from across the acupuncture world.
We want the channel to be a useful source of information, helping people stay informed, discover new opportunities and feel more connected to the wider acupuncture community.
Bringing acupuncturists together
Many acupuncturists work independently, and it can sometimes feel isolating working in a profession where colleagues may be spread across different towns, cities and countries.
At the AAC, supporting our members means more than sharing information. It means helping people feel part of a community where knowledge, experience and ideas can be shared.
Our regional WhatsApp groups help members connect with other acupuncturists in their local areas, while our Clinical Community WhatsApp group provides a space for clinical discussion and peer support. Our member meetings and journal, The Clinician, offer further ways to learn, share experiences and stay connected.
Our new WhatsApp Channel complements these initiatives by making AAC updates and information accessible to an even wider audience.
Ancient practice, modern ways to connect
Although acupuncture has ancient roots, there is no reason why the ways we communicate about it should stand still.
Modern technology gives us the opportunity to reach more people, share knowledge more widely and help strengthen connections across the acupuncture community. Whether you’re an experienced practitioner, a student, an AAC member or simply curious about acupuncture, we want you to feel welcome.
We’re excited to use this new platform to share what we do, celebrate the work of acupuncturists and keep the conversation about acupuncture moving forward.
