Bringing Acupuncturists Together: Building Connections Across the AAC

Being an acupuncturist can sometimes feel like a solitary profession. Whether you work from your own clinic, share a space with other practitioners or work across multiple locations, opportunities to connect with fellow acupuncturists can make a real difference.

At the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians (AAC), our members are at the heart of everything we do. We want our members to feel supported, connected and part of a wider professional community, which is why we’re taking steps to help acupuncturists build relationships with others in their local areas.

Connecting members across the UK

We’ve established regional WhatsApp groups to help AAC members connect with fellow practitioners in their area. These groups offer a space to share experiences, exchange ideas, ask questions and build relationships with people who understand the realities of working in acupuncture.

We divided England into larger geographical regions to make it easier for members to find one another without creating too many separate groups. However, we recognise that some regions cover a considerable distance, so we’re encouraging members to organise smaller, more local meet-ups where that works better for them.

The aim is simple: to make it easier for our members to connect in ways that suit them.

Taking connections beyond the screen

While online groups are a great way to stay in touch, there’s also real value in meeting face to face.

We’re encouraging members to organise regional meet-ups, giving them the opportunity to get together, share experiences and develop professional relationships closer to home.

To help make these meet-ups accessible, the AAC will cover members’ travel costs for the next regional meet-up, with members simply needing to submit their travel receipt afterwards.

We hope this encourages more members to take part and makes it easier for practitioners to connect, regardless of where they are based.

You don’t have to work in isolation

Building a professional network isn’t just about having people to talk to. It’s about creating a community where practitioners can learn from one another, share challenges, celebrate successes and feel part of something bigger.

Every practitioner brings their own experience, knowledge and perspective. By creating opportunities for members to connect, we hope to strengthen our community and make it easier for members to support one another throughout their careers.

At the AAC, we know that membership is about more than simply being part of an association. It’s about feeling that you belong, that your contribution matters and that there are people around you who understand your profession.

Our members matter to us, and we want to keep finding ways to bring them together.

Get involved

If you’re an AAC member and would like to join a regional WhatsApp group, message our AAC WhatsApp number on 07947 650083, including your full name and region.

Already in a group? Why not start a conversation about arranging a local meet-up? If your region covers a large area, feel free to organise smaller gatherings that are more convenient for members nearby.

We look forward to seeing our regional connections grow and to helping more AAC members feel part of a supportive, connected acupuncture community.

Led by acupuncturists, for acupuncturists.
