Welcome New Members! A Warm Hello from Chris Davies & the AAC Team

A huge welcome to all our new AAC members – we have welcomed many of you recently! We’re absolutely delighted you’ve joined our tribe of talented acupuncture practitioners. All new members receive a personal welcome email from us – we know how easy it is to miss something important while juggling busy schedules. So, think of this blog post as a gentle second hello to make sure nothing important gets overlooked!

Our CEO, Chris Davies, can’t wait to connect with you personally. Expect a friendly phone call or message soon—he’s eager to learn about your journey, hear your ideas, and welcome you into the community.

What’s Next?

Once you log into the Members Area, everything you need is right there – your dashboard, policies, insurance info, journals, sharps disposal service and more. If you’re wondering where to start, just begin exploring – think of it as discovering a treasure trove. Also check out the AAC Shop for the latest CPD courses!

Acupuncture Regulatory Authority ARA, previously (BAF)

As an AAC member, you’re also automatically part of the Acupuncture Regulatory Authority (ARA)—previously known as the British Acupuncture Federation (BAF). The ARA is a powerful coalition of leading UK acupuncture organisations that meet several times a year to advocate for our profession, drive best-practice standards, and strengthen our influence in healthcare policy. Follow the Facebook page for information and more!

Insurance without the Hassle

We’ve teamed up with Balens to offer the ARA Affinity Scheme insurance – great coverage, great value. Just download the form, give it a quick fill, and send it back. If you get stuck, ring Balens on 01684 580771 and ask for the “ARA Affinity Scheme” team – they’ll sort you out.

Promote Yourself, Your Way

You can now use ‘AAC‘ and ‘ARA‘ after your name! Fancy showing it off? Download our official logo from the Marketing section and add it to your website, email footer, or business card.

Want clients to find you? Use the “Add Your Clinic” feature and choose how much to reveal – gradual visibility works well. Sprinkle keywords like “Acupuncture” into your profile to help your Google search ranking. Every little bit helps!

Grab Your Member Certificate

Your official AAC Member Certificate is waiting for you in your dashboard. Be proud – print it, frame it, and show it off. It’s your badge of dedication and professionalism.

The Clinician

We produce a journal twice a year – March and September for all our members which are sent by post, free of charge, as part of your membership. You can also take a look at The Clinician on our website. We are always looking for writers and if you would like to write an article for us please email articles@aac-org.uk.

Stay in the Know & Connected

Make sure your mailing and contact details are all up to date so you don’t miss our journals or announcements. Then swing by our Facebook groups – whether you prefer private chats or public updates, we’ve got spaces for both:

We are also on Instagram and LinkedIn too!

If you ever need help, chat with us at admin@aac-org.uk, or ring 0843 507 0123. If we don’t pick up, leave a message – we’ll call right back.

We’re so happy you’re here. Let’s make great things happen together!
