‘What drew me to Acupuncture is its ability to empower a person to find a way to heal. It lets the person take responsibility for their own health and well being, embodying healing.” Acupuncture is a beautiful medicine. After nearly 25 years of practice, I am privileged to work with folks of all ages, family medicine as different generations attend my practices in Cardiff, Newport and the Wye Valley. My oldest client is 93, youngest just 5 days old. I have been in practice since 2000 after studying Acupuncture in China and in the UK. I qualified from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou and then did a two year post graduate training in Paediatric Acupuncture with Julian Scott, Teresa Barlow and Dr Gascoigne 2003/5 . I am registered with the Welsh Government through the Special Procedure Licensing Act [ a new law which began November 2024]. As well as a general practice, I also felt drawn to helping those with fertility problems consequently I became an affiliated fertility Acupuncturist with Zita West and was one of the founding affiliates in 2008. 524 babies born with the support of my practice to date [9/25]. Prior to training in Acupuncture I was the Director of a children’s charity for black and minority ethnic children with chronic illness and disabilities. My first ‘job’ was as a street performer…… I hold a degree in Drama and post grad MA (1995) etc. I am a Shamanic Practitioner/ Teacher of 47 years experience. In my ‘spare time’, I can be found in woodland, ‘wild wooding’. Planting oak trees and sitting around the fire.’
