My practice is one that is firmly based in non-fear based practice. I do not, therefore specialise in any disease process but in the wholeness and vitality of those that seek my support. My job as I see it is nurturing and nourishing life, this means I see all symptoms and disease not as an isolated problem to be irradicated, but illness and challenges being opportunities for greater awareness and understanding of our own unique natures and being inseparable to our spiritual and emotional existence, even if the symptom is physical. My practice is body-centred, meaning I work with your body stories, the body as focus, this does not mean that there isn’t verbal consultation and components, but the focus is from the body. I am also a certified Radix body psychotherapist who specialises in developmental interruptions and trauma. I work in a trauma informed way and see individuals not just with obvious trauma histories but any that need support in the challenges of remaining vital and responsive to the intensity of life, symptoms in this way usually subside, but in its stead new awareness, with you as guru of your own life. I treat young and old and as a birth and death companion have seen how much can be learnt by being companion to both. I run regular embodiment workshops, body psychotherapy courses and alternative preparation for becoming a parent, based on child development, neuroscience, Radix body psychotherapy and Chinese medicine that seeks to be inclusive to all those that become parents in less traditional ways.
