About the clinic

Hello, I’m Sarah, the owner and practitioner at Olive Tree Well Being, which is located at my home in Brackley, Northamptonshire. My journey in to the world of wellness began in 1996 when I studied Beauty Therapy and Massage at West Thames College in Isleworth, West London. I was deeply passionate about wellbeing and eager to expand my knowledge. I qualified in: Aesthetician (Beauty Therapy) ITEC 1997 Electrolysis ITEC Anatomy & Physiology ITEC Massage ITEC Salon Business Administration I began my professional journey at a spa near Heathrow Airport, where I expanded my expertise by studying Indian Head Massage, Reiki, and Reflexology. My passion for learning led me to further my education, and I eventually earned a City and Guilds qualification in Teaching, allowing me to share my knowledge as a Lecturer in Reflexology and Beauty Therapy at West Thames College. After taking a brief pause to start a family and settle in Brackley, I resumed teaching at Soul Energy in Kings Sutton. Over the years, I’ve worked in various settings, including spas, salons, and rented spaces, but in 2008, I decided to create something of my own. Olive Tree was born, allowing me to balance my passion for therapy with the needs of my family, all from the comfort of my home. During this time I continued to train and qualified in – Thai Table Massage, Thai Herbal Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Japanese Face Massage, Lymphatic Massage, Hawaiian Massage, Seated Chair Massage, Aromatherapy, Trigger point, Deep Tissue Massage Ear Candling. Fuelled by my passion for learning, I was eager to delve deeper into the world of wellbeing and Chinese Medicine has always intrigued me, though I never imagined I could pursue it. After much reflection and careful planning, I embarked on a five-year journey to become an acupuncturist. I trained at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London, where I completed a year of Biomedicine, two years of Naturopathic studies, and three years of Acupuncture. It was the most challenging training I’ve ever undertaken, but with the support of my family and friends, I graduated in July 2017. That September, I had the incredible opportunity to spend three weeks in China for postgraduate training. The experience was transformative, and I treasure the skills and insights I gained. In 2017, I was honoured to receive the Muddy Stilettos award for the Best Complimentary Therapy Centre in Northamptonshire as voted by my wonderful clients. WINNER My commitment to learning has never waned as I have also qualified in the following areas: Acupuncture & Fertility – Paul Johnson, City College, London (2018) Acupuncture & Menopause – Paul Johnson, City College, London Meridian Wave Therapy – Amos Ziv Flow of the Hand & Needle Part 1 – Sarah Pritchard, City College, London Cosmetic Acupuncture – Sahar Hooti, Harley Street, London Scalp Acupuncture – Prof. T. From a beauty therapist to a holistic therapist and now an acupuncturist, my journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, and it’s far from over. At Olive Tree, I am committed to offering each client the full benefit of my extensive training and experience. Running my own practice allows me to manage my time effectively, maintain my health, and keep my energy and enthusiasm high. Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Warm regards, Sarah x
