With over 25 years of experience in complementary healthcare, I have had the privilege of working with prestigious organisations, charities, and leading wellness institutions throughout central London. My previous clinical experience lies in delivering complementary therapies—particularly acupuncture—within hospitals, hospices, and clinics, with a specialisation in cancer care and end-of-life support. Key Achievements & Experience: Complementary Health Trust: Collaborated extensively with hospitals and clinics, providing complementary therapies for cancer and HIV patients. Starting as a volunteer therapist, I advanced to a paid locum position, gaining invaluable experience across numerous central London hospitals. Notably, my placement at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Hackney allowed me to provide treatments both on the wards and at the Wellspring Clinic. I later played an active role in the recruitment of therapists for the organisation and served as a mentor, offering face-to-face and telephone support for new practitioners navigating challenging clinical situations. London Lighthouse (now part of the Terence Higgins Trust): Worked as a therapist at this renowned HIV/AIDS centre in West London, offering complementary health support to a vulnerable community. Luxury Spa Experience: Delivered bespoke therapies at elite establishments, including The Mandarin Oriental in Knightsbridge and The Dorchester on Park Lane, renowned for their 5-star service. Brit Awards Crew: Provided therapy services for the crew in the lead-up to the prestigious Brit Awards, supporting their physical and mental well-being during a demanding period. Practice & Community Involvement: Private Practice (est. 2007): I operate a successful private practice in Central London, specialising in treatments for stress-related conditions, pain management, fertility, and IVF support. Community Clinics: I have supported acupuncture programs for the Crescent Support Group in St. Albans, a service funded by local health authorities for over 20 years, and provided therapies for the Positive Health Programme at YMCA Central London. Health Tree Acupuncture Clinic: Co-founded in partnership with St. Margaret’s House as part of the Wellbeing Sessions project, funded by the Mayor of London’s Building Stronger Communities Fund. Our clinic in Bethnal Green delivers ethical and affordable acupuncture treatments to underserved communities, with a focus on stress, pain, and chronic illness.
