I was born and raised in the Canary Islands, Spain. Since my early childhood I have always seen my mom surrounded by stethoscopes and syringes, her tools as a physician. I know that being around her and her passion had an influence on me. After I finished my BS in Nutrition and Physiotherapy at California State University, I wanted to explore the relationship between herbal medicine and food a bit deeper. I decided to go to Chinese Medicine School at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) in San Diego, and later earned a Doctorate in Women’s Health and Herbal Medicine from Shandong University, China. While in the program I collaborated with midwives as a doula for the UCSD Hillcrest Hospital, with doctors in San Diego Hospice and the Children’s Hospital, as well as in various fertility centers. My experience as a therapist goes from my labor as a doula to help induce birth to pediatric therapies such as Tui-Na and Shoni-Shin. These phases in my development as a practitioner have made me want to observe medicine through the study of culture, folklore, food and spiritual human behavior. Today, I am a Board-Certified Acupuncturist in California and NCCAOM Diplomate, a certified Doula, homeopath, craniosacral therapist, and Arvigo® practitioner, and a Level 1 Certified Practitioner with the Institute for Functional Medicine. For over three decades I’ve supported individuals and couples across London, California, and Barcelona with their fertility and reproductive health journeys, specialising in five-element fertility and functional medicine. I use a personalised blend of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, nutrition, and tailored therapeutic protocols to support fertility, fertility preservation, and reproductive health — as well as general hormonal health, menopause and perimenopause, and inclusive, affirming care for LGBTQ+ clients at every stage of life. The framework that Chinese Medicine has provided me, alongside my earlier exposure to herbal and allopathic medicines, has allowed me to better advise and treat my patients.
