The first session includes the initial consultation and the first acupuncture treatment and takes upto 90 minutes. The first treatment usually involves needle placed about 50mm (2 inches) either side of your spine down the length of your back.
Centre Pulse This involves checking that your centre pulse (umbilical pulse) is in the correct place . This is checked by applying pressure to the umbilical (belly button) until a pulse is felt. Should this be off centre then it is gently massaged into the correct location. Akabane This test determines your balance of energy between left and right. A lit Akabane (incense stick) is passed over acupuncture points of both hands and feet. needles will then be inserted to move energy (chi or Qi) from one side to the other
