The Association of Acupuncture Clinicians (AAC) is a Professional Acupuncture Membership body committed to providing exemplary level of membership support to Acupuncture Professionals who have trained to degree level in acupuncture. We are looking for people to join our Working Board. The Working Board is a group of individuals committed to meeting the objectives set by the AAC Strategic Board.
The AAC Working board has delegated authority from the Strategic Board to CEO/Deputy CEO for day-to-day management including:
- Acupuncture Practitioner Membership Support
- Internal Comms
- Promotion & Marketing of AAC
- Promotion of acupuncture as valid form of healthcare
- Professional Development
- Practitioner Welfare
- Membership Systems support
- Journal Committee
- Accounts Reporting
- Events & Marcoms
- Professional Benefits
- Strategic Relationships and Alliances
Role of Working Board Members
The working Board is a dynamic pool of passionate individuals who will be keen to help deliver the objectives of AAC in a creative way. As such we are looking for individuals who can give support and direction to shape projects such as:
- Promotion of Traditional Acupuncture (AAC Members) to the Public
- Providing Resource for our Members to enhance their professional standing and or drive public awareness of acupuncture
- Involvement in improving practitioner engagement through effective communication strategies and events
- Building of Strategic Alliances to promote AAC members and benefits of acupuncture
- Promotion of AAC to grow membership
- Determination of financially viable value-added benefits to our membership
- Provision of Support for enhancing the experience of the Acupuncture Profession for our members
- Delivering consistent high-quality guidance to members to allow safe, confident working conditions for practitioners and the public
We welcome applications from both practitioners and non-practitioners who are passionate about acupuncture. Skills and experience that are of interest are: Marketing, Community Management, Community Engagement, Internal/External Communications, Senior Level Experience, Business Management & Oversight, Strategic Networking, Engaging the Public Interest, Promotion of Acupuncture through Various Channels, Safety, Healthcare Settings, Staff Welfare & Professional Development. We are looking for individuals with insight, drive and clarity.
Commitment
The Working Board will meet monthly on Zoom in an evening for up to 1.5 hours and will aim to meet in person once a year.
The working board comprises some part-time roles which are remunerated as recognition of the delegated day to day accountability for functions related to running AAC. These are: CEO, Deputy CEO, Website/Membership System/Finance and Admin.
Other positions and current vacancies are voluntary but reasonable expenses for work done on particular projects will be considered.
The voluntary roles are for 2 years.
