AAC is very proud to be a member of the Acupuncture Regulatory Authority (ARA) previously British Acupuncture Federation (BAF) family. ARA together is a membership umbrella organisation that brings together over 1400 practitioners celebrating different styles of acupuncture, different cultures and different training routes.
We meet regularly to consider both strategic and practical aspects of acupuncture as a profession and as representatives of our own membership bodies. Our voice as one collaboration is much stronger than our individual voices.
Discounted Professional Insurance
You are entitled to join the AAC if you have your own insurance policy, but the AAC/BAF Affinity Scheme through Balens is extremely hard to beat on price. Prices start from £66.13 per annum for insurance cover.
AAC/ARA have partnered with Balens to provide comprehensive cover for acupuncture and adjunctive therapies. We are one of a select few groups that are covered to administer and leave semi-permanent needles in such as ASPs and intra-dermals, we are also able to include blood letting and gua sha (all subject to training).
You will be able to join the Discounted Balens Scheme when you have joined AAC. If you wish to call Balens for any further advice – be sure to ask for the Balens Affinity Department and you can ask them about the ARA Affinity Scheme on 01684 580771.
