Emergency First Aid at Work – Macclesfield – 27th September 2024

This is a 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) qualification day, and is taught by an acupuncturist, however this course is a standard one and this is a nationally recognised qualification.

This is a 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) qualification day, and is taught by an acupuncturist, so the trainer will have a good understanding of what you may experience in clinic, however this course is a standard one and this is a nationally recognised qualification.

Course Content:

The EFAW course covers

• The breathing, unresponsive casualty and the recovery position;
• The non-breathing, unresponsive casualty, including resuscitation and use of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED);
• Bleeding control, Burns and the management of a shocked patient;
• Management of the choking patient and some common causes of asphyxia
• Recognition and management of a variety of medical conditions including fits, diabetes and strokes.

Cost:  £60 per delegate

Duration: 1 day – from 9:45am to 5pm (approximate timings)

On successful completion of the full course (if blended learning, this compromises of both an online session (Part 1) and the face-to-face practical session (Part 2)) the candidate will receive a certificate valid for 3 years and will be recognised as a “First Aider” under the “HSE (First Aid) Regulations 1981”.

Attendees must have an understanding of spoken and written English and be 18 years or older
